Thanks for the recommendations, we will check them out! As you can imagine we am new here and when we drive by a place that says Japanese food our interests are peaked. So, we make a mental note to check them out. This place actually looked like it might actually be "real" Japanese food. Well, the food wasn't bad but it as I blogged it wasn't what it should have been. ;-) On a side note I will be in Japan for 2 weeks next month so I can get my fill of Chicken Namba!!

The Bento Box? Huh? Where the hell is that? Sounds like a Japanese restaurant run by non-Japanese. Take some time and do some research.

Try Tsukushinbo in the International District, or Koharu in Federal Way.In Bellevue try Kiku next to Bellevue Uwajimaya. There has been some turnover in Japanese restaurants in Seattle in the past few years so you missed some good "home cooked type food".

Pick up the Soy Source, the local Japanese newspaper in Seattle and you should find ads for a number of Japanese restaurants.
